hi , my name phillip mcfarlane originally from nsw australia i now live in south australia i started rc drifting in 2010 i have done some rc racing many years previous to this ( in the late 80s early 90s) but havnt had much to do with rc other than some recreactional fun up until then . my first drift chassis was a yokomo type b i still use this chassis today, other chassis ive owned are some teh-r31s and a drift devil as they where cheap and easy to experiment with i didnt want to spend alot of money at first on the hobby as i was kind of sceptical if the hole rc drift thing was just a gimmick coming from a motorsports background ( rally/hillclimb/motorkhana and some drifting) . but once i tried it for awhile i was hooked and surprised with the realism and accuracy at which they can be tuned driven .
mostly using carparks and a local hobby shop for awhile that had a tarmac touring car track a couple years later another local enthusiast started running weekend meets at his work ( the warehousesliders) i helped as much as i could designed and built the tracks and did whatever else i could to help since then things have gone strength to strength i now run rwd and use my driftpackage and a hayabusa and have been lucky enough to become a team ds driver in 2015 and em looking forward to what the future brings.
